The short version

What a cycle is

A cycle is the complete life of a position on one instrument — from its first fill to the moment it is entirely closed. Cycle tracking began on 17 August 2026; a cycle is counted only when it is fully closed, and results are attributed to the instrument it traded. Reporting per completed cycle is the fairest view of a trading record because it matches the way decisions are actually made and capital is actually committed — counting intermediate steps would double-count the same outcome.

How signals are produced

A number of instruments and indicators are used to determine entry, exit, stop and target levels. Signals are generated algorithmically, tracked forward against live market data, and refreshed automatically every 10 minutes. Coverage spans global indices, forex, commodities and crypto; every signal is scored on entry strength, and crypto must clear a higher bar than the other markets before a cycle is issued. For competitive reasons we do not publish the full decision logic behind individual entries.

The language we use — each figure explained

R — our standardised risk unit
1R is the risk set when a cycle opens: the distance from its entry to its protective stop. Measuring everything in R lets us compare gold, forex, indices and crypto fairly — a win is a win relative to what was risked. If you risk $100 per cycle, +1R means +$100.
Net R
The final gain or loss of a completed cycle after modelled spreads and slippage are deducted. A published +0.3R is a net gain after those costs, not a gross one.
Winning cycles / win rate
The share of completed cycles that closed with a positive Net R. Reported as a percentage of completed cycles only.
Average R per cycle (expectancy)
Total Net R divided by the number of completed cycles — the long-run expectation of one completed cycle. For example, if 100 cycles produced +62.8R, the average is +0.63R per cycle.
Profit factor
Gross winning R divided by gross losing R across completed cycles. Above 1.00 means winning R outpaces losing R.
Capture ratio
The share of a cycle's strongest favourable movement that survived into its final Net R, after the adverse part of the move and all costs. Illustrative: a cycle whose best moment was +4R and whose final net result was +3R has a capture of 75% — three quarters of the best move was kept.
Best move (MFE) and worst dip (MAE)
How far a cycle travelled in our favour at its best point (maximum favourable excursion) and how far it moved against us at its worst point (maximum adverse excursion), measured while the cycle was live. Capture of the adverse side of each cycle began on 7 September 2026.
Cycle duration
The average elapsed time a completed cycle ran, from opening to fully closed.
Drawdown
The peak-to-trough decline of the cumulative Net R curve across completed cycles. Max drawdown is the deepest such decline on record; current drawdown is where the curve stands today relative to its best point.
Live exposure
How many cycles are running right now: fully active (the whole cycle is in the market) versus partially complete (part of the outcome has already been realised and the remainder is still running).
